Our story

Welcome La Spezia is a portal offering non-hotel accommodation, created by bringing together the best guesthouses in the historic city centre.

In recent years, thanks to the increase in ‘hit-and-run’ tourism and the spread of the Internet, the demand for non-hotel accommodation has grown by 8.3%, making guesthouses increasingly prominent in the Ligurian hospitality scene.

Based on this trend, the managers of the best guesthouses in the centre of La Spezia have decided to set up a consortium which, through the online showcase welcomelaspezia.it, offers its guests a simple and immediate booking system and a single point of reference for any information.

All participating establishments have signed the same service charter, which guarantees common quality standards in terms of comfort, cleanliness and assistance.

Our guesthouses are the ideal starting point for exploring the Gulf of Poets and the Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso), listening to stories about the seaside villages and immersing yourself in the nature of the Cinque Terre Park and the Portovenere Natural Park, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Over time, the portal has also been enriched with authentic experiences to enjoy and selected dining options.

Today, in addition to choosing where to stay, guests can book boat tours, gastronomic experiences, guided tours and much more, discovering the area through local flavours, landscapes and traditions.
